Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is one of the most anticipated film of the year. What makes it so special? Shahrukh Khan or the Shahrukh – Aditya chopra combo. Well both. We haven’t seen Shahrukh on Big screen from quite sometime. The last one being Om Shanti Om which was a blockbuster. So this one would be a special treat to all the Shahrukh fans. After DDLJ and Mohabbatein, SRK – Aditya will come together for the third time. Both these films directed by Aditya Chopra created box office history and we know Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi too would set the cash registers ringing.
Promo : Yash Raj Films revealed the first teaser of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi on Shahrukhs Birthday. The Promo has SRK with the mustache in a common man look taking a bath under a tap, followed by his self cooked bread and butter breakfast. whats more he even washes the plates. It was kind of strange to see SRK in a common man look since we are used to seeing him in the larger than life roles. Looks can be deceptive. The song Haule Haule that follows mesmerizes you. ‘Haule haule se hawa lagti hai, Haule haule se dawa lagti hai, Haule haule se dua lagti hai, Haule haule chanda badhta hai, Haule haule ghoonghat uthta hai, Haule haule se nasha chadhta hai!’ Oh I just cant stop humming this song. Such is the beauty of this song. Debutant Anushka Sharma makes a brief appearance in the promo. Anushka is beautiful and we hope to see more of her.
Music Review : Lyricist Jaideep Sahni and Music composer Salim-Sulaiman have done a good job. But I am not sure if they can recreate the magic of DDLJ and Mohabbatein. The album starts with Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai which is sung by Roopkumar Rathod. Its a decent number. This is followed by the melodious Haule Haule song for which Sukhwinder Singh has rendered his vocals. This one is my personal favourite. Next one is Dance Pe Chance sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Labh Janjua. This dancing number reminds me of “Put your right hand in, put your right hand out and do the boogie woogie”. And then comes Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte by Sonu Nigam which is so-so. Female version of Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai by Shreya Ghoshal is a sad song. The album ends with the Instrumental Dancing Jodi. In all, RNBJ is a good album. Don’t compare it to Adi’s previous directorial projects and You will love this album.
Adi’s third directorial project with Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Debutant Anushka Sharma playing the lead, with Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra making special appearances, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is all set to rule the hearts. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with the tag line “There is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary Jodi” will release on Dec 12.
